Outdoor Gas Grill – How To Choose The Right Grill

Thursday, January 6th, 2011

For any outdoor barbecue enthusiastic, having the perfect grill is a must for all barbecuing needs. Today, it is sometimes preferable to buy gas grills as it is more convenient than propane tanks, or charcoal grills. Some still prefer charcoal, but the fact is that natural gas grills have more features than charcoal grills.

If you’ve done any research on gas grills, you may come to the conclusion that there are a lot of products and brands to choose from, and it’s not always choosing the best one. There are so many different options, that it can be a little confusing and sometimes overwhelming. Here are a few tips you can use to help you narrow down your decision.

1. Know what you are looking for in a grill, including different accessories and parts. At the end of the day, it really all comes down to what your individual preferences are. Before purchasing a gas grill, it’s good to know what you want your grill to look like, the materials that are used, and how big your ideal grill will be.

2. When it comes to looking for the right size of the grill, you want to make sure that you not only check the over-all size of the grill, but the BTU as well. BTU is short for British Thermal Unit, and it’s a way of measuring the size of the cooking area. Lower BTU means less space, while higher BTU means more space. So if you’re planning on grilling for multiple people, you’d be better off with the grill with the higher BTU.

3. It is often portrayed in magazines, advertisements, and commercials that stainless steel is the best material for grills. While this may be true in some cases, it’s isn’t always so. Stainless steel actually tends to flake off after some time, and it will kink as well. Stainless steel is usually more expensive, but do your research before buying this material, and read from others who have experiences the flaking and kinking. Enameled cast iron grates and burners are often recommended by grill experts.

4. Think about the extra features that come with grills, and decide if these features are something that you really need. Some grills have two side burners and additional lighting, but they can add up the costs. If you barbecue lots of different meats or other foods, then you might need the extra burners. Just keep in mind that these can also add up expenses because of repairs and maintenance.

Char Broil Grill Parts

Thursday, January 6th, 2011

“What will you have madam?”

“Umm… Grilled fish with pepper sauce and onions, or I might have that grilled club sandwich”

Yes! Roasted, baked and fried are all passé. People like their chicken, fish or bread grilled these days! Indeed grilling has become quite a popular art of cooking food, not only in restaurants, but also in household kitchens. Also during the summer time, it is actually the most preferred way of cooking food, mainly as it is way healthier than the fried or roasted beans that only add to the amount of calories. You do not eat lots of fat if your beef is grilled instead of being roasted in fatty oils. Well and if you leave aside the health aspect of grilling, grilling actually is an energy saving mode of cooking food.

Grills also help in cost cutting. How? Well, try cooking chicken on your gas, within minutes you will be sweating and your hand will immediately move to the air conditioner in the corner of the room. Use a grilling machine and you won’t sweat much and will be less straining. Also studies have shown that when chicken was cooked in all modes of cooking, it was in grilling mode that the meat remained soft and the moisture was retained.

The char broil grill parts are mainly of standard quality. But like all things, they may ditch you and prove worthless. All you can do on your part is that invest some time on their maintenance so that they live longer. You need to take special care of the char broil grill to make them last as long as you want. So how do you go about it?

After you have munched on your chicken and satisfied your hunger, come to the cleaning task. You need to clean the char broil grill after you have grilled your food in the grilling machine. And you need to clean each and every part of it. The part of the char broil grill that needs to be replaced most often and is vulnerable to becoming useless is the grill burner. So to avoid this, shed a few more bucks when purchasing your grilling machine, and buy a high quality reliable burner. Same goes for the switches used to ignite the machine. The grill grate should also be cleaned properly after the food is cooked. So keep these little instructions in mind and your grilling machine will give you more delicious food to relish!
